Artist Statement:
“At first I was just doing a collage with my initial in the center featuring flowers and things that are beautiful. But as I got to thinking, I decided to tear it up. Once I tore it up, I realized it reflected how my life was feeling — all in pieces. I’m trying to put those back together, so I glued and taped the pieces back onto a painted canvas. It’s a representation of me putting my life back together.”
