Inspiration for the piece:

This piece was inspired by what's going on around the world - genocide, war. Asking God through the form of a prayer to bring peace to this world.

What role does art play in your life?

Art plays a big role in my life. It brings me peace and harmony and helps with my mental health.

Artist statement:

My creative journey began in high school when I was in my art class and now, two decades later, I am reconnecting with my creativity. I enjoy watercolors and the fluidity of the watercolor paint. By seeing other people's art work and being in community with others, I find creative inspiration myself.
