WHAT ROLE DOES ART PLAY IN YOUR LIFE?
Art is essential in my life. I suffer from chronic illnesses and limited mobility. In art, I have no limitations. I can immerse myself in my art and express my feelings in what I do. Prison is not handicap friendly ~ ART IS.

IDENTITY STATEMENT
I struggle with who I am. My past, I can’t escape and my future doesn’t look so bright. So day by day I try to hold on to hope or a bright spot. Some days are better than others, and the ones that aren’t - tomorrow is a new day. Chronic illness and limited mobility are my daily battles. Sometimes I’m just tired, and yet no matter what I try to be a better me. On bad days sometimes I don’t have hope for anything better, so when I have good days I make the best of them. My art pieces are a part of me and in these two pieces if you take the time you will learn much about me.

I spent a lot of time thinking about myself and all the words that kept coming to my mind made me think about how they play such a big part in who I am, who I was, and who I want to be. Every word written has been or still is a part of ME, be it how I feel about myself or the effect or meaning of the word or label and its effect in my life.
