WHAT ROLE DOES ART PLAY IN YOUR LIFE?
Art plays a role in my life in many forms. I enjoy music, doing hair (there is an art to doing hair believe it or not!) Just allowing myself to drop a pen to a paper and let it flow sometimes and create beautiful pieces of art builds me up. Anything inspires me to create art - the sun shining, the darkness, a good mood, a bad mood. I don’t have to allow negativity to control my life.

IDENTITY STATEMENT
No matter where I’ve been or what choices I’ve made in my life, incarceration does not define the person I am or who I’ve become. I have a whole beautiful life outside of the walls. I refuse to repeatedly give the Enemy a seat at my table. I am no longer powerless over my addictions. My life has purpose. I have a unique calling, a reason for being and it took me a VERY long time to realize that. MY LIFE MATTERS!
