Art is my escape, my hustle, my link to things I would like to experience. I might not get to go hiking out in nature, but I can paint it. Emotions, pictures, magazines, experiences - I put it all into my art!

IDENTITY STATEMENT
A husband and father, a skateboarder, and artist, friend, advocate, person. These are all things that I both view myself as and hope to be seen as! As well as continuing to share the person that I am and hope to become. Prison is a place that I am in, not a defining aspect of who I am. Or course, it has had a hand in shaping who I am, how could it not, but I am more than the parameters of my cage!

To me, I have to see justice as a living thing, like language, it grows with the generation. My painting is a representation of that. The earth tones and jagged edges represent things that have been done in the name of Justice, with good or bad intention, and the green and flowers growing over the spaces that are seen now, I have to believe that there is room to grow for us all. in that way.
