Purgatory The Death and Birth

Acrylic paint on panel canvas

My inspiration is trying to escape purgatory and being consumed and changed for the person he was before death. For being who he chose now he has to suffer the consequences. Being lost and consumed by your environment. Treat someone bad for so long they become a product of that hostile nature.

Identity Statement

I want to be seen as a person, not a number. I treat people the way I'd like to be treated. My whole life I've tried to figure out who I am. I'm still looking. I'm an artist, musician, brother, son, and a loyal friend. I like to change my appearance every so often, just for a change of a way I'm feeling. I've had a rough life but I don't dwell on it. I do think my art work reflects my moods or darkness of life. I tend to lean towards the darkness or scary stuff and music. Pain, abuse and being lost has made me who I am today. I lost my father in 2017 so I know true heartbreak.

What role does art play in your life?

I work with art every day. It's my escape and a way to express myself safely. Bad days inspire me, good days, music, movies, something someone says, maybe a nightmare or dream. I look to take an empty canvas and put my feelings on it and see what people think. I like to paint for my friends so they can enjoy. Makes me feel good and privileged that they want it and enjoy it. Plus, money is nice too!
