Ultimate Sacrifice and Servitude by Daniel Eguwe

Ultimate Sacrifice and Servitude

Beading

Serving in the military was my inspiration for this piece. It is, and will always be, an honor to have served my country. My creed is: if the need arises, I am at peace with paying the ultimate sacrifice for the well-being of my loved ones and country. I aspire to be of service to others before self.

Identity Statement

Identity is not about how others perceive you but rather about how you envision yourself. That vision of yourself is impacted by influences of your heritage, life experiences - bad and good, your social environment, as well as your beliefs. All these factors shape your identity and the evolution there over time.

What role does art play in your life?

Art plays a therapeutic role in my life. It aids me with my emotional well being by being a medium to express and process thoughts, feelings and ideas. As well as giving me great joy. Am inspired to create art by what is around me, experiences I have had in my life, and the idea that my art might bring joy to somebody else's life.
