Why do you use the medium you use?

As an artist ana visionary it is important for me to be able to bring my visions to light with any tools available to me, so I take the opportunity to practice and master all mediums including computers to generate digital art. I love the simplicity and versatility of graphite and charcoal drawing, but I also love to pain with color, oil, acrylic, watercolor, color pencil and pastel.

What role does art play in your life?

Art, visual art and music and literature are all tools to communicate and express ideas, communication keeps people connected. As human beings, we are innately creative beings. We are creations that come into this world to create. Also, innate to humans is admiration for beauty and the beautification of things which is also art. I love to make things beautifully and I love beauty, sharing good vibes make me happy.

What inspires you to create?

The love and beauty of life inspires me to create art to connect with people. Also, the pain people feel when overwhelmed by depression, oppression, poverty and other social conditions. Artists have the unique ability to create things that identify and acknowledge that pain and inspire hope. It is a powerful gift.

Transformation Statement

Transformation is a spiritual process for humans. I believe that transformation has to take place in the heart and that the heart and mind must be in harmony. The heart has always represented love, one of the most powerful forces in the universe and one of the universal languages. Many cultures believe that the evolution of the human spirit and mind is a process of purification of the heart. The ancient Egyptians had a ceremony called "the ????? the heart and the "philosophical gold" of the Alchemist inspires these pieces about transformation which through the purification process the heart becomes golden.

Pain of a King
My grandmother prophetically named me “Pain” when I was born and the first twelve years of my life were filled with enough pain for a lifetime but my first love was music and that love got me through all the pain. Prince inspired me to learn music.

Courting Mates (I and II)

I work in all mediums. I love black and white as much as I do color. Art is a form of community and I hope to connect with people on many levels. The swans I painted is part of a series that explores the way families are born out of romance, love, light, and mysterious attractions.

Not all art is for sale.
