WHAT ROLE DOES ART PLAY IN YOUR LIFE?
Art is something that I have anywhere I go. It’s in all areas of my life: my thoughts, words, poems, ideas, outlook on life’s obstacles and through good times and bad. Art can be fun such as cloud watching and re-creating a song or drawing a picture on a card for a loved one. Art also can be an escape through our/my pain, an outlet - write a poem. Sometimes writing a poem is equivalent as a therapy session. It’s a release of what’s on my chest and I never have to speak a word to anyone.
Why do you use the medium you use? I use colored pencils because they capture enough beauty, however, still remain simple.
What role does art play in your life? Art is everything to me. Some days it's the only way I survive. Sometimes it inspires me to keep going, while others it is the only way I am able to express myself.
What inspires you to create? Anything. Being able to express my feelings is my biggest inspiration.

IDENTITY STATEMENT
My identity is all that is aligned with what I was meant to be. Knowing who I am, or how I see myself, leads me to live a truthful and authentic life, and that aligns me true to myself. When I live in integrity, though, I admit my flaws, mistakes, and poor judgement. I see myself accountable. When I look at everything I was doing in life, and pretending to be, I see the puppet others saw me as. Today, I take back my power and I embrace and celebrate who I am, faults and all. My identity can be the photo judgement was painted, or it can be a much bigger picture, created by the artist.
