Why do you use the medium you use?

Pencil, because it's so simple, but so complex, plus it didn't help that I was under prepared, but not from lack of trying.  I plan to tap into more mediums, mostly charcoal and oil painting.

What role does art play in your life?

It serves as a conduit for me to express myself and stimulate some of my mental health issues.

 What inspires you to create?

To be recognized for something positive.  Also if I'm being honest, just to do something if not for anything other than to impress myself.  I'll leave you with this thought, if you can connect with my art and it can stir your mind a bit, than I'm happy with that.

Transformation Statement

Transformation means to change, to become a better version of one self.  That of which I have done through the enlightenment of self reflection in solitude.  As the theme of my piece will reflect the power the mother of pearl possesses.  This work was purely memory and imagination.  I wanted to test myself as I hope more people will strive to as a source of motivation.  I've seen the depths of life and hope that others don't have to find their own transformation.
