Justice should be about being accountable for one's choices and said consequences should be fairly given to all without favoritism to those of wealth, fame or gender. Justice is no longer blind, but has become a corrupt tool of social and political influence, a sense of vengeance and a completely unchecked abuse of power.

I watched a documentary on TV back in July 2023 about a band of Native Americans who left a reservation to hunt so they could feed their people, because the government was giving them spoiled food and they were starving on the reservation.
The representation of the eagle is the symbol in many cultures. Native American culture, it’s a symbol of Unity … Messenger … Truth and, of course, Justice. Here in our Justice System it’s our seal of our eagle is a statute of many things that signify Strength, Honor and Unity.
We’re excited to announce the launch of Shifting Perspectives, our latest exhibit at the Minneapolis Central Library! At the heart of this showcase are the Art and Wellness Fellows. This past fall AFTI proudly launched the inaugural 12-week Art & Wellness Fellowship at two Minnesota State Correctional Facilities: MCF-Shakopee and MCF-Faribault.
Join us for our opening reception on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. On March 29th, participate in an interactive art and wellness session led by formerly incarcerated artists, highlighting the power of creativity in personal growth. Then, on April 13th, a screening of JUSTICE-REFORMED will be followed by a panel discussion on the power of art to transform featuring experts and individuals with lived experience.
