We’re Honored to Be Part of This ConversationWe’re grateful to see Art from the Inside featured in a recent Star Tribune commentary by Mark Osler, who writes powerfully about the extraordinary creative talent that exists inside our prisons and why those voices matter to the future of the arts. The article recognizes the work AFTI is doing to support incarcerated and formerly incarcerated artists and highlights our vision of creating a dedicated space where returning artists can create, work, and thrive. For us, this is about much more than art. It’s about seeing people beyond their convictions, creating pathways for transformation, and making sure that the creative voices that emerge from some of the most difficult places in our society have a place in the world. We’re grateful to Mark Osler for recognizing this work and, most importantly, for helping bring greater attention to the artists whose stories and creativity are at the heart of what we do.
