Dear Friends of Art from the Inside, As we come to the close of another year, we want to pause and extend our deepest gratitude to you—our community of supporters, artists, partners, and believers in the power of art and human dignity. Because of you, Art from the Inside continued to create space for creativity, healing, and connection for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated artists. This year, we witnessed powerful artistic expression emerge from places too often overlooked or suppressed, and we saw firsthand how art opens doors to reflection, wellness, and possibility for individuals and for communities. Together, we: Supported artists inside correctional facilities and in the community Amplified voices and stories that challenge harmful narratives Brought people together through exhibitions, gatherings, and dialogue rooted in justice, healing, and hope
None of this happens without you. Your generosity through donations, volunteering, attending events, or sharing our work makes a real and lasting impact. As we step into the New Year, we are filled with both humility and determination. The need for creative, restorative, and community-centered approaches to justice remains urgent. In the year ahead, we look forward to deepening our programs, expanding opportunities for returning artists, and continuing to build bridges between those inside and outside the system. Thank you for standing with us. Thank you for believing that art belongs everywhere and that we are all more than the worst thing we have ever done.
