This special event is part of our Shifting Perspectives exhibit at the Minneapolis Central Library and offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue about art’s impact behind and beyond prison walls.

Join us for an exhibit tour followed by a thought-provoking discussion featuring Dr. Dave Gussak, Professor of Art Therapy at Florida State University and a national expert on the intersection of art and incarceration. Dr. Gussak, alongside AFTI’s art and wellness facilitators, will share insights on how creative expression fosters rehabilitation and transforms correctional environments.

This event is free and open to all, made possible in part by the Minnesota Humanities Center with funding from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
